My mortgage deal comes to an end in the next 2 months and will need to find a new mortgage product for re-mortgaging my home. Money is quite tight at the moment so looking to save money where ever I can, so looking into doing the re-mortgage conveyancing myself. Will lenders allow you to do the conveyance work by yourself or do they insist on your hiring a conveyancer to handle the legal work?

All mortgage lenders in the UK require you to hire a professional lisenced solicitor to handle the legal paperwork. You are not allowed to do the re-mortgage conveyancing on your own and the person you hire has to be pre-approved by the lender in advance.
